What's included in box?

  • ThermNeck & Upper Back device
  • Adjustable strap with center-release buckle (not pre-assembled)
  • USB-C charging cable
  • Travel pouch

Using Your Device

  1. Position the device. Place the device behind your neck so it rests evenly across your neck and shoulders. Center the LED light therapy section on the back of your neck, with the two percussive nodes positioned over the muscles on either side of your upper back. If you have long hair, tie it back securely before use to prevent hair from getting caught between the kneading massage and percussive nodes.
  2. Secure the device. Place your hands in the loops on either side of the device to hold it securely against your neck and shoulders and adjust the pressure as desired. For hands-free use, attach the adjustable strap to the center-release buckle and adjust it for a comfortable, snug fit. The strap comes unassembled in the box. Never overtighten the strap.
  3. Turn on the device. Press and hold the power button until the LED indicators light up. All therapies activate automatically when the device is turned on.
  4. Choose your percussive speed. Press the percussive therapy button to cycle through the three speeds: low (1,750 PPM), medium (2,100 PPM), and high (2,400 PPM). The white setting indicators show the selected speed: 1 light for low, 2 lights for medium, and 3 lights for high. Start at the lowest speed and gradually increase based on your comfort.
  5. Choose your kneading massage pattern. Press the kneading massage button to cycle through three patterns: Internal Rotation (nodes rotate toward the spine), External Rotation (nodes rotate away from the spine), and Combination (alternates between internal and external rotation every minute). Use the straps and hand loops to apply gentle tension at first and allow the rotating nodes to do the work.
  6. Choose your heat intensity. Press the Heat + LED button to cycle through three heat levels: low (97°F / 36°C), medium (102°F / 39°C), and high (108°F / 42°C). The red LED light is a visible cue that the near-infrared light therapy is active. Start at the lowest heat level and gradually increase based on your comfort.
  7. Turn off the device. Press and hold the power button until the device turns off. As the device powers off, the kneading massage nodes will move for 1–3 more seconds as they return to their default position. If you are using the adjustable strap, unbuckle one side of the strap before removing the device from your neck.
  8. Lock the device. When not in use or during transport, lock the device to prevent it from turning on accidentally. Quickly press the power button three times to initiate the lock function. The LED lights will flash sequentially to indicate that the device is locked. To unlock the device, quickly press the power button three times again or connect the charging cable.

The device automatically enters standby mode after 20 minutes of continuous use, and automatically shuts off after approximately 3 minutes of inactivity to preserve battery life.

Warning: Never apply excessive pressure or any pressure that causes pain or discomfort or interferes with the normal function of the device.

Where to Use

ThermNeck & Upper Back is designed to be worn on the back of the neck, shoulders, and upper back. When positioned correctly, it targets the following areas:

  • Upper trapezius (top of the shoulders) - Targeted by the kneading massage, heat, and LED light therapy.
  • Base of the skull / suboccipital region - Targeted by the kneading massage and heat.
  • Levator scapulae (side of the neck to the shoulder blades) - Targeted by the kneading massage and percussive therapy.
  • Back of the neck (cervical region) - The central treatment area for kneading massage, heat, far-infrared, and near-infrared LED light therapy. Center the LED light therapy section over this area.
  • Mid-trapezius (mid-upper back) - Targeted by the two percussive therapy nodes.
  • Treatment duration: 2–20 minutes per session. Use heat and kneading massage for up to 20 minutes per session. Limit percussive therapy to 2–5 minutes per session.
  • Frequency: Use 1–2 times per day as needed, allowing 30–60 minutes between sessions. Do not exceed 3 sessions per day.
  • First-time use: Start with the lowest percussive speed (limit percussive therapy to two minutes or less), a single-direction kneading pattern, light pressure, and the lowest heat level. Keep initial sessions to 5 minutes or less, gradually increasing to a full 10–20 minute session.

Mild post-treatment soreness may occur during the first few sessions and is similar to soreness experienced after massage. Discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if soreness lasts longer than 24 hours or if sharp pain occurs at any time.

Charging and LED Indicator Guide

The device is USB-C enabled and comes with a USB-C to USB-C charging cable.

  • Connect one end of the charging cable to the USB-C port on the device. Connect the other end of the charging cable to a compatible USB-C power adapter (not included).
  • Briefly press the power button to check the battery level via the LED indicator near the power button.
    • Green: High battery
    • Blue: Medium battery
    • Orange: Low battery
    • Breathing pattern: Device is currently charging

The battery life of the device is up to 120 minutes, depending on the settings used. The device charges from 0–100% in up to 150 minutes with a 20V/3A (60W) USB-C power adapter. The device can be used while plugged in, but the battery will not charge while the device is in use.

Care and Cleaning

  • The ThermNeck & Upper Back is NOT waterproof. Do not submerge the device in water or clean it under running water. Do not allow the device to come into contact with corrosive solutions, as they can damage the device's appearance and function.
  • Before cleaning, turn off the device and ensure that it is disconnected from the charging cable and power source.
  • Wipe off any visible dirt with a disposable cloth moistened with a mild detergent, paying particular attention to the percussive and kneading nodes and LED light window. Next, use a soft cloth with 70% isopropyl alcohol to wipe and disinfect the treatment surfaces for three minutes. Repeat this process three times. Finally, wipe the device with a clean, dry cloth until there is no visible residue.
  • Remove the adjustable strap and spot clean it with a cloth moistened with mild detergent. Allow it to air dry completely before reattaching it to the device. Do not machine wash or tumble dry the strap.
  • Allow the device to dry thoroughly before storing it or beginning another treatment. For best hygiene practice, clean the device after every use.
  • Store the device in the included travel pouch in a cool, dry place (32°F / 0°C – 104°F / 40°C).
